This is a fun one to share: Built In has announced that Shipium was honored in its 2025 Best Places To Work Awards. Specifically, we’ve earned a place on the following Lists:
- 50 Best Startups to Work For in Seattle in 2025. - #3
- 50 Best Startups to Work For in Chicago in 2025 - #11
- 50 Best Remote Startups to Work For in 2025 - #28
- 100 Best Places to Work in Seattle in 2025 - #55
Every year, Built In hosts the Best Places to Work awards program, which gives recognition to companies who offer the best compensation packages, total rewards and culture programs among their peers. Winners are determined based on an algorithm, using company data about compensation and benefits and includes companies of all sizes, from startups to those in the enterprise, and honors both remote-first employers as well as companies in large tech markets across the U.S.
This year we finished third in Seattle, something I'm really proud of. When Shipium was started in Seattle in 2019, our goal was to be one of the next great Seattle startups. We have a lot of work to do, but this achievement shows we are on our way and momentum keeps building.
“Being recognized as a Best Place to Work is a testament to these companies' commitment to building a workplace where individuals and innovation thrive," says Built In CEO and Founder, Maria Christopoulos Katris. “At Built In, we understand that great companies are powered by great teams, and this achievement showcases their dedication to fostering a culture of growth, inclusivity, and excellence. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor.”
A new one for us is the city of Chicago, where we have built out the second largest portion of the Shipium team. We're very proud of our Chicago location and the team members who join us from that region. To finish eleventh among a strong base of excellent Chicago startups is a wonderful achievement.
We understand that the best companies have the best teams, and naturally, the best people. To that end, we’re focused on building a thriving workplace where you can grow, succeed, and feel like you belong. We're committed to your development and creating an environment where you can do your best work. Thank you for your feedback, dedication, and drive - you make us who we are!
